How hard is it to set up a Flymo EasiLife GO myself?

It's a DIY job for most people: Flymo positions the Flymo EasiLife GO as a self-install, and everything needed is in the box. Most of the time goes on laying the boundary wire, not on the mower itself.

The steps are the same as for any wired robot. You choose a spot for the charging station near a power socket, then peg a loop of wire around the edge of the lawn and around anything the mower should keep away from, such as beds, ponds or tree bases. A separate guide wire helps it find its way back to charge. Flymo supplies wire and pegs sized to each model; the smallest GO 150 comes with less wire than the others, so measure your perimeter first.

A few details make life easier. Keep the wire slightly in from hard edges so the wheels don't drop off a path, keep it away from the steepest ground (the manual allows only 10% along the wire), and leave passages at least 60 cm wide. The pegs hold the wire at the surface, and grass grows over it within a few weeks.

Once the wire is in, you set the schedule with the LED buttons or the Bluetooth app. There's no Wi-Fi to configure and no map to draw. Our installation guide walks through wire layout step by step.
