Anthbot in the UK

Anthbot moved into robot mowers in 2022 and sells a compact, wire-free range. Its UK web address forwards to its EU store, which ships to the UK and sells UK-plug versions but prices only in euros. There's no UK retailer, dealer or office, so you're buying from abroad in all but name.

That has practical consequences. The price in pounds changes with the exchange rate, your bank may add a currency fee, and any return or warranty claim goes through Anthbot's EU support team. It also means we can't show a sterling RRP or track UK prices the way we do for most brands.

The range explained

All three families share a 200 mm deck, app-set cutting height, a 45% slope rating and rear-wheel drive. They differ in navigation and battery size.

• Genie: Anthbot's first range. RTK with its own station, plus four cameras for obstacles and for help near trees and walls. Five sizes, and all except the Genie 600 have 4G.
• M5: a compact mower rated for 500 m², sold with RTK and cameras, LiDAR and cameras, or all three on the M5 Pro.
• M9: the M5's body with a battery twice the size, rated for 1,000 m². Available with RTK, or with LiDAR added on the M9 Pro.

Anthbot's rated areas need care. For the Genie, its product page and its comparison page give different figures, and the comparison page's lower "recommended" areas are the safer ones to plan on.

Which Anthbot should I buy?

• Small lawns up to about 500 m²: the Anthbot M5. Choose the LiDAR or Pro version if your garden is enclosed by trees, walls or houses; choose the standard M5 for an open lawn.
• Lawns of roughly 500–1,000 m²: the Anthbot M9. The M9 Pro, with LiDAR and 12 months of 4G, is the better choice for shaded or enclosed gardens.
• Bigger, open lawns: the Anthbot Genie goes up to multi-thousand-square-metre ratings, but it needs an RTK station and uses the same narrow deck. With a refurbished listing appearing and the M series now alongside it, the Genie line may be winding down.

Not for you if: you want to pay in pounds, deal with a UK retailer, or have a local dealer install and service the mower. Steep lawns are also a poor fit at 45% with two-wheel drive; see our slopes guide.

Tech and app

The ANTHBOT app handles mapping, schedules, zones and no-go areas. 4G is built into every model except the Genie 600, with 3 to 12 months of service included depending on the model. That powers GPS tracking and an alert if the mower leaves its mapped area, and on the M series it can also carry network RTK corrections.

What happens when the free period ends is unclear. Anthbot's M-series product pages say network RTK needs no extra subscription, but its comparison page and 4G service listing show an annual renewal. The mower still mows without it, using its own station or LiDAR, but budget for the renewal if you want remote features. Our network RTK and 4G guide explains the difference.

UK warranty, support and where to buy

The only official route is Anthbot's EU online store. The warranty is three years on the mower, charging station and RTK station and two years on the battery; blades and tyres are excluded, refurbished Genies get one year, and cover starts 14 days after the order date. Support is by email through Anthbot's EU site. Before ordering, check the euro price against your card's exchange rate and fees, and confirm how returns from the UK are handled.
