Which version do you need?
The M9 uses RTK with two cameras and comes with its own RTK station, or can use network RTK over 4G, and includes three months of 4G. The M9 Pro, listed from July 2026, adds a 360° LiDAR scanner so it can navigate near trees and buildings and work without a physical station, plus 12 months of 4G and a couple of extra zones. Choose the Pro if your garden is enclosed or shaded; the standard M9 suits open lawns.
How it navigates and sets up
The M9 is wire-free. The standard model fuses RTK satellite positioning with two cameras, and comes with an RTK station to mount in the garden; Anthbot also offers network RTK over the built-in 4G connection instead. The M9 Pro adds a 360° LiDAR scanner, which Anthbot calls HoloSense, so it can keep its position near trees, walls and houses and doesn't need a physical station. You map the lawn in the app, and Anthbot presents setup as a job of a few minutes. Our navigation guide explains where each approach struggles.
Anthbot quotes 45% slopes and an obstacle-climbing height of 40 mm, with 2WD on the rear wheels.
Cutting
The M9 shares the M5's deck: 200 mm wide with 5 blades on one disc, and an app-set height from 30 mm to 70 mm. Anthbot says it cuts right up to the lawn edge; that's the manufacturer's claim and we haven't verified it. The narrow deck means it has to make more passes than wider mowers on a 1,000 m² lawn, which the bigger battery offsets. The quoted noise level is 58 dB(A).
App, connectivity and security
The ANTHBOT app handles maps, schedules and up to 30–32 zones. 4G is built in, with 3 months–12 months of service included depending on the version. It enables GPS tracking and an alert if the mower leaves its boundary. For how cellular services work on mowers, see our network RTK and 4G guide.
Running costs, warranty and support
The warranty is 3 years on the mower and charging station and two years on the battery; blades aren't covered, and cover starts 14 days after the order date. Anthbot has no UK office or dealer network and sells in euros through its EU store, so there is no UK RRP. The same body, deck and navigation options, but the M9 has a battery twice the size, longer runs per charge and a 1,000 m² rating against 500 m² for the M5.
Can UK buyers get an Anthbot M9?
Yes. Anthbot's EU store ships to the UK, but it only prices in euros and Anthbot doesn't publish a sterling RRP. Check your card's currency fees before ordering.
Does the M9 need a base station?
The standard M9 comes with an RTK station, or can use network RTK over 4G while the service is active. The M9 Pro adds LiDAR and can run on LiDAR plus network RTK without a station.
Is there a subscription?
Anthbot says the M9 mows without one. The included 4G service renews annually after the free period if you want network RTK, remote control and tracking.
