Yes, it's built to live outdoors. eufy rates the eufy C15 Robot Lawn Mower at IPX6, which means it resists strong jets of water, and it has a rain sensor so it can pause mowing when it detects rain.

Pausing in the wet is sensible for the lawn as well as the machine. Wet grass clumps, wheels can churn soft ground, and grip on slopes drops. A rating of IPX6 doesn't mean it can be submerged, so avoid siting the base station in a dip that floods.

eufy sells a sunshade canopy for the C15, and whether the UK box includes a garage isn't confirmed. Neither is essential; our garage guide weighs it up. Over winter, clean it, charge the battery and store it somewhere dry, as our winter guide describes.

No. On the eufy C15 Robot Lawn Mower, cutting height is set by hand with a knob on top of the mower. eufy lists a range of 20 mm to 60 mm. The app handles mapping, zones and schedules, but not height.

For most owners this matters less than it sounds. Robot mowers work best by trimming a little often, so many people pick a height in spring, raise it for dry spells in summer, and otherwise leave it alone. It's a bigger drawback if you want different heights in different zones, which a manual knob can't do.

If app control matters, the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 adjusts from 25 mm to 75 mm through the app.

Only if your Wi-Fi doesn't reach the lawn or you want theft tracking. The eufy C15 Robot Lawn Mower mows, follows schedules and respects no-go zones over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi without it.

What the optional plug-in module adds is a mobile data connection. That allows remote control from the eufy app when you're away and lets the mower report its GPS position if it's taken. Without the module the C15 has no GPS tracking at all, because the satellite receiver relies on the cellular link. eufy says the module comes with a SIM and 24 months of data; it doesn't publish what happens after that.

eufy says it will try to. The eufy C15 Robot Lawn Mower uses a camera system eufy calls TrueVision, which it claims can recognise more than 300 types of obstacle, including pets and small animals. That's a step beyond mowers that only stop once a bumper has made contact. But it's a manufacturer claim, not an independent safety rating, and eufy doesn't publish how reliably it spots a small animal in long grass or poor light.

Hedgehogs are the hardest case. They're small, low to the ground and tend to freeze rather than run, and they're mostly active from dusk until dawn, which is exactly when a camera has the least light to work with. The British Hedgehog Preservation Society advises against running robot mowers at night for this reason. The simplest protection is a schedule that finishes well before dusk, and checking long grass and the edges of borders before a cut in spring and autumn.

With dogs and cats, the usual advice applies: keep young or curious pets indoors while the mower runs until you know how they react, and don't let children or animals play near it. eufy lists three small steel blades on a spinning disc, which is a typical design for a robot mower.

Buy the eufy C15 Robot Lawn Mower for a small, level lawn where noise and price matter most, and the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 if your lawn is bigger or you want 4G and app-controlled cutting height without extras. Both use cameras only, with no wire or RTK station, and both share the same slope limit of 32.5%.

The main differences, from eufy's specifications:

• Lawn size. The C15 is rated for 500 m² and the E15 for 800 m². We'd treat about 400 m² and 650 m² as comfortable working sizes.
• Cut. The C15 cuts 180 mm wide against 203 mm. Its height is set with a knob on the mower; the E15's is set in the app.
• Noise. Measured sound power is 58.2 dB(A) for the C15 and 66.3 dB(A) for the E15, a clear gap.
• 4G. Built into the E15. On the C15 it's an optional plug-in module, and without it there's no GPS theft tracking.
• Obstacles. eufy says the C15's TrueVision system recognises pets and small animals.
• Garage. Included with the UK E15; not confirmed for the UK C15.

Prices start from £999 for the C15 and £1,159 for the E15, and eufy discounts both often. Once you add the C15's 4G module, the gap narrows, so compare the total you'd actually spend. Neither suits steep gardens, and both carry the same two-year warranty.

Only a gentle one. eufy rates the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 for slopes of 18 degrees, which works out at 32.5%. That covers most lawns that look flat or slightly tilted, but not steep banks or terraced gardens.

The figure causes some confusion because eufy's own product copy and user guide print "40%" next to 18 degrees. The two don't match: 18 degrees is roughly 32.5% when expressed as a gradient (rise divided by run). eufy's comparison page for the C15 lists the E-series as 32%, which agrees with the maths, so we use the lower number.

For context, many wire-free rivals at a similar price are rated for 45% or more, so the E15 is at the cautious end. A slope rating is also a best case. Wet grass, soft ground and slopes that run across the mower's path rather than straight up and down all reduce grip, so a lawn that measures close to the limit on a dry day may cause wheel slip or stalls after rain.

If you're unsure about your garden, measure the steepest part over a metre or two and convert it to a percentage. No. The eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 needs neither a perimeter wire nor an RTK reference station. It finds its way with a pair of cameras, which eufy calls V-FSD, and uses image recognition to tell lawn apart from paths, borders and obstacles. The only fixed hardware is the charging base, and eufy includes a garage for it in the UK box.

There is a satellite receiver inside, but eufy says it is there for anti-theft tracking over 4G, not for steering. That means tall hedges, trees and the side of the house don't cause the signal problems they can for RTK mowers.

Camera navigation has its own rules. eufy asks owners to clear, or mark as no-go zones, anything under about 5 cm tall or smaller than 10 × 10 cm, such as hoses and small toys. It also needs light to see, so it isn't one for night-time schedules (which you'd want to avoid anyway for hedgehogs).

Louder than eufy's headline figure suggests. The manual for the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 gives a measured sound power of 66.3 dB(A), which is at the noisier end for a robot mower.

eufy's marketing quotes about 56 dB. That matches the sound pressure figure in the same manual, a different measurement taken at a distance from the machine, so it always comes out lower. Most mower brands quote sound power, which is why we compare on that basis. Neither number is wrong; they just aren't interchangeable.

In practice, a robot mower is still much quieter than a petrol mower. If neighbours are close, schedule it for daytime hours and check the cheaper eufy C15 Robot Lawn Mower, which eufy measures at 58.2 dB(A).

Not to mow. The eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 works over your home Wi-Fi without any plan, and eufy lists no subscription for the mower itself. You only pay if you want to keep its built-in 4G running once the free data runs out.

The 4G link does two things. It lets you check on and control the mower from the app when you're away from home or when your Wi-Fi doesn't reach the far end of the garden, and it powers GPS theft tracking. According to eufy's user guide, the mower comes with free trial data on first use, after which you buy a data plan through the eufy app. eufy doesn't say how long the trial lasts or publish UK plan prices, so check in the app before relying on it.

Worth knowing: the satellite receiver inside the E15 is only used to locate the mower if it's stolen, not to steer it. eufy quotes a GPS accuracy of about 20–30 m for this, which is enough to find the right street rather than the right garden. If the data plan lapses, mowing, schedules and zones carry on as normal over Wi-Fi; you just lose remote access and tracking.

eufy rates the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15 for lawns up to 800 m², but it makes most sense on lawns of about 650 m² or less. Like most manufacturers, eufy gives a maximum mapping area rather than a comfortable working size, and a mower run at its limit has little slack for wet weeks or fast spring growth.

Two other figures matter. The cut is 203 mm wide, which is on the narrow side, and eufy quotes 90 to 110 minutes of mowing per charge with a similar time to recharge. On a large lawn that means several charging cycles to cover everything, so allow plenty of scheduled hours.

The shape of the garden counts as much as the area. eufy's app can join separate lawns with pathways up to 60 m apart, and extra base stations (sold separately) each hold their own map, which helps with front-and-back layouts. Narrow gaps and lots of small beds slow any mower down.

Yes, as far as eufy's published information goes. The eufy Robot Lawn Mower E18 uses the same replacement blade set as the E15 and C15, and eufy UK still lists that set, so spares shouldn't dry up just because the E18 is no longer sold. eufy describes the set as three packs of nine blades with screws, and our blades page lists current prices.

eufy UK's warranty on robot mowers is 2 years for the mower, base station, power adaptor and battery when bought direct. Blades and cosmetic parts aren't covered. Cover runs from the original purchase date, so a second-hand E18 may have little left; keep the receipt if you're selling one on.

eufy hasn't announced it, but in the UK the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E18 appears to have been withdrawn. When we checked eufy's UK store, every E18 listing, including the blade bundles, showed as sold out, and the E18 product link redirected to the eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15. We treat the E15 as its successor.

The two share the same mower hardware. The E18 was rated for 1,200 m² against the E15's 800 m², and eufy quoted tighter GPS accuracy for its anti-theft tracking. No current eufy model covers the 1,200 m² size.

If you find one for sale, buy from an authorised retailer so the warranty applies, and pay well below its former list price of £1,799–£1,828.99.

Two years. eufy UK's warranty policy covers its robot lawn mowers for 24 months, and the cover applies to the mower, the base station, the power adaptor and the battery when you buy direct from eufy's UK store. Blades and cosmetic parts aren't included, which is normal across the industry since blades are consumables. Direct orders also come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, which gives you time to check the mower copes with your garden.

Two years is common at this price, but it's short compared with the robot mowers that come with three years or more as standard. That matters most for the battery, the most expensive part likely to wear, and for camera-based models whose sensors sit exposed on top of the body.

If you buy through a retailer rather than eufy directly, check what the retailer offers, as eufy's policy wording refers to direct purchases. Keep your proof of purchase somewhere safe. The warranty runs from the original purchase date, so a second-hand or ex-display mower comes with whatever cover is left rather than a fresh two years.
