Parkside and Lidl

Parkside is the own-brand tool range sold by Lidl. Rather than keeping products on the shelf all year, Lidl sells most Parkside tools as time-limited "special buys": stock arrives in store on a set day, and once it's gone, it's gone until the next drop. The robot mower works the same way. Great Britain had drops in April 2025 and March 2026, and at the end of September 2026 there was no way to buy one new from Lidl.

That makes Parkside unlike any other brand on this site. There's no range to choose from, no dealer network and no online shop to order from on a whim. If you want one, you plan around Lidl's calendar.

The range explained

There's one model: the Parkside 20V Robot Lawnmower. Lidl UK doesn't state its model code, but every figure it publishes matches Parkside's PMRA 20-Li B2, so that model's manual fills the gaps. The box includes the charging station, 130 m of boundary wire and 200 hooks, which is enough for a simple lawn of the rated size; complicated shapes or lots of islands will use more.

It's a traditional wired mower. You lay the supplied boundary wire round the lawn and around beds and other obstacles, pegging it down or burying it shallowly, and the mower works inside that loop. It's rated for 500 m² and slopes of up to 47%, though the manual limits slopes near the wire to 10%. Obstacles are found by bumping into them, and height is set on a dial from 25 mm to 60 mm. Its guaranteed sound power is 63 dB(A), louder than most current robot mowers.

Lidl quotes 45 min of mowing per charge and 60 min to recharge, so the mower spends more time on its charging station than on the lawn. That's normal for a budget robot and fine for a small lawn mown daily, but it's why the rated area is modest.

Which Parkside should I buy?

With only one model, the real question is whether to wait for it. It makes sense if:

• your lawn is small (up to about 400 m²) and a single enclosed area;
• you're happy to lay and maintain a boundary wire yourself; and
• you want the lowest possible price and don't need an app.

It's not for you if you need a mower now, want to control it from your phone, or have a garden split into separate lawns. The Flymo EasiLife GO and Worx Landroid M are wired alternatives that are on sale year-round, with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi app control.

Tech and app

There isn't an app. Everything is set on the mower's LCD display, including schedules and up to five starting points within the wired area, which Lidl calls zones. A PIN code protects it, and a rain sensor stops it mowing in the wet. There's no GPS tracking, so keep it out of sight of the road if you can; our theft and security guide has more ideas. UK warranty, support and where to buy

Lidl GB states a three-year guarantee on the Parkside robot lawnmower. Faults are handled by Lidl Customer Care rather than a dealer or service agent, so keep your receipt. Spare blades and parts may be harder to find between drops than for mainstream brands, which is worth weighing against the low price.
