How it navigates and sets up
Parkside is Lidl's own tool brand, and the 20V Robot Lawnmower is a traditional wired mower. You lay the supplied 130 m of boundary wire around the lawn and around anything it should avoid, pegging it with the 200 hooks or burying it up to 5 cm deep. The mower works inside that loop and changes direction when its collision sensor detects an obstacle. Lidl expects you to install it yourself, with a mallet, screwdriver and wire cutter. Lidl rates it for 500 m² and slopes up to 47%, with rear-wheel drive. Passages between wires need to be at least 120 cm wide. See our slopes guide for what those percentages look like in a garden.
Cutting
The cut is 180 mm wide, with three reversible double-edged blades. Height is set on a central dial from 25 mm to 60 mm. Lidl quotes 45 min of mowing per charge and 60 min to recharge, so it spends more time charging than mowing. That's fine on a small lawn with a daily schedule. The guaranteed sound power is 63 dB(A).
App, connectivity and security
There's no app and no wireless connection advertised in the UK; everything is set on the LCD. A PIN code protects it, and a rain sensor stops it mowing in the wet. It has no GPS tracking, so a garage or a spot out of sight from the road is worth considering.
Running costs, warranty and support
The battery is small (40 Wh by Lidl GB's figures), so power costs are negligible. Lidl GB gives a guarantee of 3 years, handled through Lidl Customer Care rather than a dealer network. Spare blades and parts may be harder to find between drops than for mainstream brands. In its March 2026 drop it cost £149.99 with Lidl Plus. Can the Lidl Parkside robot mower cope with a sloping garden?
On paper it handles more than most budget wired mowers. Lidl rates the Parkside 20V Robot Lawnmower for slopes up to 47%, which Lidl also gives as 25°.
There's a catch in the manual: within 1 m of the boundary wire, the slope must stay under 10%. A steep bank that runs right up to the edge of the lawn is therefore a problem, even if the middle of the lawn is fine. Plan the wire so it runs along flatter ground, and leave very steep margins out of the mowing area.
It's rear-wheel drive with a rain sensor that stops mowing in the wet, which helps, as damp grass on a slope reduces grip for any mower. Our slopes guide explains how to measure a gradient.
Can the Parkside robot lawnmower from Lidl mow a front and back lawn?
Only if both lawns sit inside one continuous wire loop joined by a wide enough passage. The Parkside 20V Robot Lawnmower has no app or map, and Lidl's "up to five zones" are extra starting points inside a single wired area, not separate lawns.
According to the manual, a passage between two areas needs at least 120 cm between the wires and can be no more than 8 m long. A typical side return beside a house is often narrower than that, so measure before you buy.

When can I buy the Parkside robot lawnmower at Lidl?
Only when Lidl runs it as a special buy. Great Britain had drops in April 2025 and March 2026, both in spring. At the end of September 2026 it couldn't be bought. Watch Lidl's app and weekly offers from late winter.
Does the Parkside robot mower have an app?
Lidl UK doesn't mention one. It's set up and scheduled on its own LCD display, with no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth advertised.
