How it navigates and sets up

The Genie is a wire-free mower that positions itself with RTK satellite navigation. You mount the supplied reference station somewhere with an open view of the sky, then drive the mower around the lawn edge in the app to create a map. Anthbot says four cameras take over when the satellite signal weakens near trees or buildings, and also handle obstacle detection alongside a 360° collision sensor. Anthbot rates the Genie for 45% slopes, with 2WD on the rear wheels, and says it can climb obstacles up to 50 mm. Anthbot describes setup as a roughly ten-minute job, which excludes finding a good spot for the station.

Cutting

All versions cut a 200 mm strip with a disc carrying 5 loose-mounted blades. Height runs from 30 mm to 70 mm, set in the app. The 200 mm width is typical of small-lawn mowers, so the larger Genies rely on long running times rather than a wide deck. Anthbot quotes up to 58 dB(A) without saying how it was measured.

App, connectivity and security

The ANTHBOT app handles mapping, schedules, 20–30 zones depending on the version, and no-go areas. Every version apart from the Genie 600 has built-in 4G with 12 months of service, which enables GPS tracking and an alert if the mower leaves its boundary. The compare page lists a PIN code only for the 600, so check before you rely on it.

Running costs, warranty and support

Anthbot gives 3 years on the mower and stations and two years on the battery; blades and tyres aren't covered. The warranty starts 14 days after the order date. Support runs through Anthbot's EU site rather than a UK office or dealer network, and prices are in euros only, so there is no UK RRP to quote.
