Which version do you need?
The L1000 is rated for 1,000 m² with an 18 cm cut, and the L2000 for 2,000 m² with a 22 cm cut. Both share the 35% slope rating and 30–60 mm cutting height. For lawns over about 800 m², look for the L2000.
How it navigates and sets up
The Landroid L follows a perimeter wire pegged or buried round the lawn, with loops around beds and other no-go areas. It has no camera or satellite positioning, so it works in shaded gardens where wire-free mowers can struggle, but you'll need to lay and occasionally repair the wire. Worx rates both models for slopes up to 35% and lawns of 1,000–2,000 m².
Cutting
The L1000 cuts 180 mm and the L2000 220 mm, with height from 30 mm to 60 mm. Worx quotes 67 dB(A), which is loud for a robot mower, so plan daytime schedules if you have close neighbours.
App, connectivity and security
The mower connects to the Landroid app over Wi-Fi, with no subscription. Worx offered a Find My Landroid 4G module as an option, but it isn't currently on the UK store, so there's no reliable way to add GPS tracking to a used machine.
Running costs, warranty and support
When new, the warranty was 2 years, extendable by registration. Most used examples will now be out of warranty. Worx's UK store still lists standard Landroid blades, wire pegs, the ACS ultrasonic module and the RadioLink Wi-Fi extender as compatible.
Should you still buy one?
Possibly, if the price reflects its age. The Landroid L is a straightforward wired mower and parts are still around, but it's noisy, bump-only for obstacles, and has no UK sales support. Check the battery's age, whether the charging station and power supply are included, and that the seller unlinks it from their app account. If you'd rather buy new, Worx's wire-free Worx Landroid Vision Cloud starts from £599.99, and wired mowers for larger lawns include the Kress Mission and Flymo UltraLife.
