Which version do you need?
Two models appear in Worx's records: the S300 (WR130E), rated for 300 m² in its manual with a 20–50 mm cutting height, and the S400 (WR141E) with a 30–60 mm range. Worx's EU page gives the S400 a rated area that doesn't match its name, so we don't list one. If you're choosing between used examples, the S400's wider height range is the more useful.
How it navigates and sets up
The Landroid S is a boundary-wire mower. It stays inside a perimeter wire that you peg or bury round the lawn, with extra loops to keep it off beds and ponds. There's no satellite positioning or camera. If you're buying one used, budget for wire and pegs unless the seller's installation stays with the house; our installation guide covers the layout.
Worx rates it for slopes up to 35%.
Cutting
Both models cut a 180 mm strip. Cutting height is 20 mm to 50 mm on the S300 and 30 mm to 60 mm on the S400. Worx quotes a noise level of 67 dB(A), which is high by current standards.
App, connectivity and security
The Landroid S connects to the Landroid app over Wi-Fi. Worx offered a Find My Landroid 4G module as an option, but it isn't on the UK store now. No subscription is needed.
Running costs, warranty and support
When new, the warranty was 2 years, extendable by registration. On a used mower, check the purchase date; most will be out of warranty. Worx still sells blades, pegs and some modules that fit it.
Should you still buy one?
Only cheaply, and only for a small lawn. The Landroid S is simple and its consumables are still available, but it's loud, obstacle detection is by bumping, and there's no new stock or UK product support page. Check the battery's age and condition, and ask whether the charging station and wire are included. If you'd rather buy new, the wired Worx Landroid M500 Plus (currently £349.99) is the closest Worx, and the wire-free Worx Landroid Vision Cloud removes the wire altogether.

Is the Worx Landroid S still sold?
Not by Worx UK. The S300 and S400 no longer appear on uk.worx.com, and the only wired Landroid there is the M500 Plus.
Can I still get parts for the Landroid S?
Worx's UK store lists its standard Landroid blades, boundary-wire pegs and the ACS obstacle module as compatible with the Landroid S.
What replaced the Landroid S?
For wired mowing, the closest current Worx is the Landroid M500 Plus. Worx's current small-lawn model is the wire-free Vision Cloud 300.
