Which version do you need?
There are two sizes, each sold as a bare tool or as a kit with battery and charger. The VISIMOW18V-100 is rated for 100 m² with a 16 cm cut; the -200 is rated for 200 m² with an 18 cm cut and brushless drive motors, and Bosch quotes a longer product life for it. Buy the bare tool only if you already own a suitable 18V POWER FOR ALL battery; otherwise the kit is simpler. For anything over about 100 m², go straight to the -200.
How it navigates and sets up
The VISIMOW18V is Bosch's current robot mower, and it's a different kind of machine from the Indego it replaces on Bosch's UK site. There's no boundary wire, no charging dock and no app. A camera tells grass from non-grass, backed up by ultrasonic, bump, lift and tilt sensors. You put a charged battery in, set it on the lawn and start it from the control panel.
That makes setup almost nothing, but the lawn has to suit it. Bosch says edges must be clear: a physical border over 6 cm or a non-grass strip over 35 cm. Narrow links need to be at least 120 cm wide and no longer than 150 cm. It mows in a random pattern and only in daylight. The slope rating is 35%.
Cutting
Three pivoting blades on a disc cut 160 mm–180 mm depending on the model, with a rotary control for height from 20 mm to 60 mm. Bosch says it leaves an uncut strip of roughly 100 to 150 mm at edges, so you'll still need a trimmer. Bosch quotes 52 dB(A)–54 dB(A), low for a robot mower.
App, connectivity and security
There's none. The mower has no wireless connection, so there's no remote control, no schedule you can change from your phone and no GPS tracking. Security is a four-digit child-lock code. Because there's no dock, the practical approach is to bring it in after each mow, which also removes most of the theft risk.

Bosch gives a 2 years guarantee, rising to three years if you register on MyBosch within four weeks, with free collection and return for repairs. Frequently asked questions
Does the Bosch VISIMOW have a charging station?
No. It runs on a removable 18V POWER FOR ALL battery. When it's flat you take the battery out and charge it, or swap in another. That's the biggest difference from a normal robot mower.
Is the VISIMOW a replacement for the Bosch Indego?
Not like-for-like. Bosch has stopped selling the Indego in the UK and hasn't named a successor. The VISIMOW covers far smaller lawns, has no dock, no wire and no app, and has to be started by hand.
Is there an app?
No. You control it from the panel on the mower, set a four-digit child-lock code there, and install software updates from a USB stick.
How big a lawn can it mow?
Bosch rates the -100 for 100 m² and the -200 for 200 m² per charge, with about four and five hours of running time respectively on the recommended batteries.
