Which version do you need?
All five share the same 18 cm deck, camera and navigation; they differ in battery, rated area and zones. The A 6v (600 m²) and A 8v (800 m²) have the same battery and run time on Stiga's spec sheet, so the A 8v mainly buys a higher rated area; choose it for lawns over about 450 m². The A 10v (1,000 m², 15 zones) has a larger battery. The A 15v (1,500 m²) was listed as coming soon on 29 September 2026. The A 25v (2,500 m², 30 zones) has the biggest battery in this group. Stiga's areas are maximums, so pick a model rated at least 20% above your lawn.
How it navigates and sets up
The v range is wire-free and needs no antenna in the garden. A quad-band satellite receiver gets RTK corrections from Stiga's network over the built-in 4G. You map the lawn in the STIGA.GO app and can install it yourself, or have a dealer do it. An AI camera recognises grass and obstacles, but positioning is satellite-based, so open sky still matters. The mower won't mow without 4G. Stiga says its autonomous robots need the cloud connection to start. Check mobile signal across the lawn before you buy; our network RTK and 4G guide explains how.
Cutting
Four pivoting razor blades on a disc cut 180 mm, with height set in the app from 20 mm to 60 mm. The slope rating is 45% inside the lawn and 20% along the edge. Stiga's manual gives a guaranteed 56 dB(A), which is quiet for the class. A rain sensor is fitted.
App, connectivity and security
STIGA.GO manages up to 10–30 zones depending on model, plus no-go areas, schedules and Alexa. The mower also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios. Data is included for ten years, then paid yearly. The app locks the mower to your account and shows its location; an audible theft alert is a paid add-on.
Running costs, warranty and support

Frequently asked questions
Does the Stiga A 6v, A 8v or A 10v need a subscription?
Not for the first ten years: connectivity is included. After that Stiga says you buy an annual pack in the STIGA.GO app. Because the mower can't start without its connection, you'll need that pack to keep using it.
Do I need an RTK antenna in the garden?
No. The v range gets corrections from Stiga's network over 4G. The manual lists an optional reference station kit for areas without network coverage, but it isn't sold on Stiga's UK web store.
What does the camera do?
Stiga says the AI camera recognises grass and obstacles. It isn't described as a positioning source; navigation comes from satellite RTK.
What's the difference between the A 8 and the A 8v?
The A 8 is first-generation: it uses a reference station in the garden, has no camera, and needs a paid data pack after two or three years. The A 8v uses network RTK, adds the camera and includes ten years of data.
