Which version do you need?
The number is the rated area, and 'OAS' means ultrasonic obstacle avoidance is fitted. The 600 and 2000 come with or without OAS; the 1500 and 5000 always have it. Unless your lawn is completely clear of toys, furniture and pets, pay for OAS. The 5000 OAS has a wider cut and six blades but is much louder. For the 2000 and 5000, Kress quotes a larger maximum area on a 72-hour cycle; the headline figure is its recommended 48-hour area.
How it navigates and sets up
The Mission RTKn is a network RTK mower. It receives satellite corrections from Kress's own reference-station network over its built-in 4G connection, so there's no base-station antenna and no boundary wire. That gives accurate positioning and lets it mow in straight, parallel lines. Unlike the Kress EyePilot, it has no camera: where buildings or trees block the sky, it falls back on inertial navigation and wheel odometry. That's fine for short gaps, but RTK-only mowers generally struggle more in heavily shaded gardens. Our RTK, vision and LiDAR guide explains why.
Kress sells through dealers, who normally handle installation. It is rated for slopes up to 40% and lawns of 600–5,000 m².
Cutting
Most models cut 200 mm with three blades; the 5000 OAS cuts 220 mm with six. Height is set electrically from 30 mm to 60 mm. Kress quotes 59 dB(A) for most of the range but 68 dB(A) for the 5000 OAS. Kress doesn't publish edge-cutting details for this range.
App, connectivity and security
The Kress Mission RTKn app manages multiple zones with routing between them. Every model has built-in 4G and Kress's anti-theft system, plus a PIN lock and a rain sensor. Running costs, warranty and support
The residential warranty is 2 years, plus a year if you register within 30 days; batteries have one year. Kress still sells blades and wheel-brush kits for this range through dealers. RRPs listed on Kress's UK site run from £699–£2,649, and the lowest price we currently track is £674.50.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Kress Mission RTKn need a base station?
No. The mower carries its own RTK and 4G antenna and receives corrections from Kress's RTKn reference network, so nothing is installed in the garden apart from the charging station.
What's the difference between Mission RTKn and EyePilot?
Both use Kress's RTKn network. The EyePilot adds a camera for obstacle detection and as a navigation backup when satellite signal is weak; the Mission RTKn has no camera and relies on inertial sensors and odometry in those spots.
What does OAS mean on Kress mowers?
OAS is Kress's ultrasonic obstacle avoidance system. Models with OAS in the name can detect obstacles before touching them; the others rely on bump sensing.
Is there a subscription for Mission RTKn?
Kress doesn't say either way on its Mission RTKn pages. It promises no additional fees for the EyePilot range, so ask your dealer to confirm the position for Mission RTKn in writing.
