Which version do you need?
Mammotion lists three versions. The 800 and 1500 use RTK (base or network) plus cameras and differ mainly in battery and rated area. The LiDAR 1500 adds a LiDAR scanner to RTK and cameras and came with three years of 4G data, but it appears in Mammotion's UK spec sheet only and was never sold through its UK store, so any UK unit is likely to be an import. Mammotion's last UK listing oddly priced the 800 above the discounted 1500.
How it navigates and sets up
The LUBA mini AWD is wire-free. The 800 and 1500 use RTK positioning with cameras for obstacle detection; the RTK corrections come either from the base station supplied in the box or from Mammotion's network RTK service over 4G. The LiDAR 1500 adds a LiDAR scanner to help in tree-lined or built-up spots where satellite positioning is weaker. You map the lawn by driving round its edge in the app.
All versions have all-wheel drive and a 80% slope rating, and Mammotion says they climb obstacles up to 50 mm.
Cutting
A single disc with six pivoting blades cuts a 200 mm strip, with height from 20 mm to 65 mm. Mammotion claims full edge cutting, though unlike the LUBA mini 2 AWD there is no separate edge disc. It doesn't publish a noise figure.
App, connectivity and security
The Mammotion app manages up to 20 zones, no-go areas and schedules, with GPS tracking over the built-in 4G. Included 4G data is 12 months–36 months depending on version; after that it's optional and paid.
Running costs, warranty and support
The warranty is 3 years from the original purchase. Blades are cheap wear parts. Mammotion supports older models through the same app, but it doesn't publish how long it will keep releasing updates for this one.
Should you still buy one?
Only at a substantial discount. The original RRP was £1,499–£1,899, and its successor, the Mammotion LUBA mini 2 AWD, currently starts from £1,249 with the same slope rating, more 4G data and a choice of RTK or LiDAR navigation. If you buy used, check the warranty start date, battery health and blade condition, and ask whether the RTK base station is included.

Is the LUBA mini AWD discontinued?
Yes, in the UK. Its product page is sold out, it has left Mammotion's main menu, and the page points to the LUBA mini 2 AWD as the next generation.
Is it still covered by warranty?
Mammotion's UK warranty statement lists three years of cover, including the battery, for the LUBA mini series. Warranty runs from the original purchase date, so a used mower may have little cover left. Ask for proof of purchase.
What does the LUBA mini 2 AWD add?
Three years of included 4G data rather than one, a separate edge disc, and a 1500 version that uses LiDAR instead of RTK. Slope rating and cut width are the same.
Does it need a subscription?
No. The RTK base station in the box works without 4G. Network RTK and remote features use 4G data, which is paid for after the included period.
