Which version do you need?
Two models are on sale. The A 5000 is rated for up to 7,000 m² with 10 zones; the A 10000 is rated for up to 12,000 m² with 20 zones and a bigger battery for longer runs. Both are maximum figures, so pick the A 5000 for lawns up to about 5,000 m² and the A 10000 above that. The A 3000 (4,500 m² maximum, 3,000 m² recommended) is discontinued; if you find one, it shares the same deck and navigation. Also compare the A 50v and A 100v, which add a camera and don't need a station.
How it navigates and sets up
These are the large-platform versions of Stiga's first-generation A-series. They're wire-free, using satellite RTK with a reference station supplied in the box; corrections pass through Stiga's cloud over the mower's built-in 4G. Instead of the station, you can activate Stiga's Antenna FREE network correction service at installation. You map the grounds and zones in the STIGA.GO app, and Stiga includes dealer installation with web-shop purchases.
They need 4G to work. Stiga says the mower can't start without its cloud connection. On big properties, check signal at the far corners, not just by the house. Open sky matters too: tree belts and tall buildings reduce accuracy. See our network RTK and 4G guide.
Cutting
A disc with six pivoting razor blades cuts 260 mm, with electronic height adjustment from 20 mm to 65 mm. The slope rating is 50% inside the lawn and 20% along the perimeter; our slopes guide explains what that means. Stiga gives a guaranteed 57 dB(A) for the A 5000 and no UK figure for the A 10000. A rain sensor is fitted.
App, connectivity and security
STIGA.GO covers mapping, schedules, 10–20 zones and no-go areas, with Alexa support. Both models have a theft alarm, account lock and GPS tracking in the app. Connectivity is included for the life of the mower, according to Stiga.
Running costs, warranty and support

Frequently asked questions
Do the Stiga A 5000 and A 10000 need a subscription?
Stiga describes their connectivity as lifetime, so no data pack is needed. If you use the Antenna FREE network service instead of the reference station, Stiga says it's free for ten years and then a small annual fee, priced in euros.
Will they mow if the 4G connection drops?
Stiga says its autonomous robots can't start mowing without their cloud connection, so check mobile coverage across your grounds before buying.
What happened to the Stiga A 3000?
It's no longer listed on Stiga's UK site, though it's still covered by the current manual. The closest current Stiga is the A 50v from the 2026 v range, which is our pick rather than Stiga's.
What warranty do they have?
Two years as standard, extendable to five years if you register and have the mower serviced every year by an authorised Stiga dealer.
