Which version do you need?
The S800 and S1200 were the smaller and larger models. Going by the names they were probably for about 800 m² and 1,200 m², but the pages still online don't state rated areas. TerraMow gives the S1200 a 36% slope rating; the S800 figure wasn't checked separately.
How it navigates and sets up
The S800 and S1200 were TerraMow's first-generation vision mowers. Like the current range, they navigated with cameras rather than a perimeter wire or RTK, so there was no antenna to mount. The product pages that remain online don't give much detail about the camera setup, mapping or zones, beyond listing no-go zones for the S1200. TerraMow gives the S1200 a 36% slope rating.
Cutting
TerraMow's remaining pages don't publish the S series' cutting width, height range or noise level, and we haven't recorded them from any other manufacturer source. If you're looking at a used one, ask the seller for the manual.
App, connectivity and security
The pages still online don't describe the S series' app features, whether it had 4G, or what anti-theft protection it offered. The S1200 is rated IPX6 for water resistance.
Running costs, warranty and support
TerraMow's warranty policy lists the S800 and S1200 at 2 years, a year less than the V series. Blades aren't covered. The last listed UK prices were £1,049–£1,249. TerraMow still sells batteries, adapters and base stations for the S series, which helps existing owners.
Should you still buy one?
Probably not new, and you're unlikely to find one: TerraMow's store shows both models as sold out. The TerraMow V Series (V600 / V1000) is the direct replacement, with a newer camera system, electric height adjustment, 4G and an extra year of warranty, at a lower RRP than the S series had. A used S series could make sense only at a clear discount, and only if the seller can confirm the warranty status, battery health and which spares you'll need. Check that the app still supports it before you pay.

I have a TerraMow S1200: can I still get spare parts and support?
For now, yes. The TerraMow S Series (S800 / S1200) is sold out and has gone from TerraMow's product listing, but TerraMow still sells S-series batteries, adapters and base stations as spares, and its razor blade set is listed as fitting all models.
The warranty for the S800 and S1200 is 2 years, a year less than the V series gets, and blades aren't covered. TerraMow says full cover applies to direct purchases serviced in the country of purchase, so a mower bought abroad may be treated differently. TerraMow hasn't published an end-of-life notice or said how long the app will support the S series. If you're buying one second-hand, check it still pairs with the app before paying.
Is it worth replacing a TerraMow S series with the newer V series?
Not if your S series is working well. The TerraMow V Series (V600 / V1000) is the direct replacement for the TerraMow S Series (S800 / S1200), and it's better on paper, but the upgrade is worth it mainly if your old mower is out of warranty, needs an expensive repair, or falls short on something the V series fixes.
What the V series adds, going by TerraMow's pages: an updated camera system it calls TerraVision 2.0, electric cutting height from 25 mm to 75 mm set in the app, 4G built in with a year of data, and a warranty of 3 years on the mower against 2 years for the S series. The V series also had lower UK RRPs than the S series did.
What it doesn't change much is slope ability. TerraMow gave the S1200 a 36% rating, while the V series spec table says 32.5%, so a steep garden isn't a reason to switch. TerraMow no longer publishes most S-series specs, which makes a line-by-line comparison of area, cutting width and noise impossible.
If you do move to the V series, spares for the old mower remain on sale, and the base station and blade disc are listed as fitting both ranges. Every V series variant was sold out on 29 September 2026, so check stock first.
