How it navigates and sets up

Every Twenty follows a perimeter wire around the lawn and any areas you want to keep it out of. The wire is sold separately on Ambrogio's UK store, and the manual gives a maximum wire length of 1,000 m. Elite versions add GPS, which Ambrogio uses for zoning, returning to the charging station and anti-theft, but it doesn't replace the wire. Ambrogio rates the range for up to 45%, but recommends 35% on a trimmed lawn and 20% near the wire, so steep edges need care.

Cutting

Cutting width is 180 mm–290 mm depending on the version, with height from 25 mm to 60 mm. The smaller models use a four-tip cutter disc and the 25 and 29 models a solid four-point steel blade. Like most wired mowers, it cuts in a random pattern and relies on frequent mowing to keep the lawn even. Ambrogio quotes measured noise from 57 dB(A)–63 dB(A).

App, connectivity and security

Deluxe models use a keypad and Bluetooth only. Elite models include ZCS Connect (GPS plus a GSM connection) for remote control, a PIN, a geofence alert and voice control. The manual lists 2G GSM bands; ask your dealer whether the current module uses 4G and whether there are any data fees, as Ambrogio doesn't say. Zones run up to 4–8 depending on the model. Rain sensing is standard.

Running costs, warranty and support

The warranty is 2 years, extendable to 3 years (parts only) with annual dealer servicing. Ambrogio UK in Lincoln distributes the range, with a network of dealers.
