How it navigates and sets up
The FREELEXO 1200 LCD BT is a wired mower. You lay a perimeter wire around the lawn and around beds or trees it should avoid, and it works inside that boundary, turning at the wire. Einhell supplies 210 m of wire and 300 pegs; the manual allows up to 250 m in total. Laying and testing the wire is the main set-up task, which our installation guide walks through.
It's rated for 1,200 m² and slopes up to 35%. Einhell doesn't publish a mowing time, passage width or drive type. A wired boundary isn't affected by trees, walls or satellite signal, which keeps things simple in awkward gardens.
Cutting
The cut is 180 mm wide with three blades, which is narrow for a lawn near 1,200 m², so expect it to run for many hours a week. Height is stepless from 20 mm to 60 mm. There's no edge-cutting claim, so budget for some trimming. Measured sound power is 59.4 dB(A).
App, connectivity and security
The LCD keypad lets you set schedules and options on the mower itself. The Einhell Connect app works over Bluetooth only, so it's a convenience when you're in the garden rather than a remote control. There's a PIN lock, an alarm and a rain sensor. IPX4 means it resists splashing but shouldn't be hosed down; see our winter storage guide for off-season care.
Running costs, warranty and support
The supplied Power X-Change battery is 93.6 Wh and fits other Einhell 18 V tools. The warranty is 2 years as standard, rising to 3 years if you register within 30 days. Prices start from £752.95. Will the Einhell FREELEXO 1200 LCD BT manage a 1,000 m² lawn?
On paper, yes: Einhell rates the Einhell FREELEXO LCD BT for 1,200 m², which leaves some headroom over 1,000 m². Whether it copes comfortably depends on the shape of the lawn and how much wire you'll need.
The cut is only 180 mm wide, which is narrow for a lawn of that size, so expect it to run for many hours a week. Einhell doesn't publish a mowing time per charge, but the supplied Power X-Change battery is 93.6 Wh, the largest in the FREELEXO range. Lawns split into several areas, or with lots of beds and trees, take longer to cover than one open rectangle.
Wire is the other limit. Einhell supplies 210 m of wire and 300 pegs, and the manual allows up to 250 m in total. Measure the full perimeter, including loops around islands such as trees and beds, before buying: a long, narrow 1,000 m² garden can need more wire than a square one. Extra wire and pegs are sold separately.

Is the Einhell FREELEXO 1200 LCD BT being discontinued?
Einhell hasn't said so, but there are signs it's winding down. At the end of September 2026 the Einhell FREELEXO LCD BT was still listed and priced on Einhell's UK site, but showed as out of stock. It's also the older design: the newer Einhell FREELEXO adds Wi-Fi and over-the-air updates, which the LCD BT lacks.
If you find one in stock at a good price, it's still covered by Einhell's normal warranty, and it uses the same Power X-Change batteries, blades and garage as the rest of the FREELEXO range. It's also the only FREELEXO rated above 500 m², at 1,200 m². We'll update this page if Einhell confirms a change.

Is the Einhell FREELEXO 1200 LCD BT discontinued?
Einhell hasn't said so. It was still listed and priced on Einhell UK at the end of September 2026, but showed as out of stock. The newer Wi-Fi FREELEXO suggests the range is moving on.
How much wire does it need?
Einhell supplies 210 m of wire and 300 pegs, and the manual allows up to 250 m. That covers most lawns near its rating, but measure your perimeter, including any islands such as trees and beds, before you start.
Does the app work away from home?
No. The manual lists Bluetooth as its only wireless connection, so the Einhell Connect app only works within Bluetooth range. Everything can also be set on the LCD keypad.
