Which version do you need?
You can buy the Y40 core with the Pro mower module, the same bundle plus the trimmer module, or the Pro module alone if you already own a Y40 core. The trimmer bundle is worth considering because the mower leaves edges that need attention. A newer Y40P core has launched in the US only, with no UK date announced.
How it navigates and sets up
Yarbo isn't a conventional robot mower. It's a modular, tracked yard robot: the Y40 core holds the 1,382.4 Wh battery, the tracks and the navigation, and the Lawn Mower Pro is one of several modules that fit on it. With the module attached it weighs 98.2 kg.
Positioning is RTK. The bundle ships with Yarbo's Data Center, a base station with an outdoor antenna that should be mounted high and wired to your router; it also provides Yarbo's long-range HaLow Wi-Fi link. Since August 2026 Yarbo has also offered free network RTK where it has coverage, which does away with the local base. Binocular cameras, ultrasonic sensors and a bumper handle obstacles. Yarbo rates the Y40 with the Pro module for 25,000 m² across a twice-weekly schedule, slopes of 70% and obstacles up to 50 mm. Tracks give it grip on rough and steep ground, but for a machine this heavy, think about how it gets between areas and where it'll be stored.
Cutting
Two cutting discs give a 500 mm cut. Height runs from 20 mm to 102 mm. The Pro differs from the standard Lawn Mower module in having more powerful motors (2 × 300 W against 2 × 150 W), a lower minimum height, and a pair of straight steel blades supplied alongside the razor-blade discs for tougher grass. Yarbo doesn't publish a noise figure.
App, connectivity and security
The Yarbo app manages up to 150 zones, schedules and live camera view. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi, HaLow, Bluetooth and 4G, with 12 months of 4G service included. GPS tracking and geofence alerts need active 4G. Yarbo has published security updates about its remote-diagnostic systems; read them on its security pages before buying.
Running costs, warranty and support
Yarbo's warranty is 2 years on the core and module, with blades, discs, tracks and antennas excluded. That comes from Yarbo's EU warranty page, since the UK store blocked our checks. The longer extension Yarbo offers is for the US and Canada only. UK pricing wasn't available when we checked, so confirm the price, the warranty terms and who handles repairs before you order.

Can the Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro cope with a steep, bumpy field?
On paper, yes. Yarbo rates the Y40 core with the Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro module for 70% slopes, which is about 35 degrees, and it runs on tracks rather than wheels, which spread its weight and grip better on uneven ground. Yarbo quotes an obstacle clearance of 50 mm.
The weight cuts both ways. At 98.2 kg with the module fitted, it's far heavier than a normal robot mower, so soft or waterlogged ground can get churned up, and you can't carry it past an obstacle. Wet grass also reduces grip on any slope, so treat the maximum as a best case. Our slopes guide explains what the percentages mean in practice.
Does the Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro need an RTK base station, or can it use network RTK?
It depends on where you live. The Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro steers by RTK satellite positioning, and every Y40 bundle ships with Yarbo's Data Center, a local reference station. Where Yarbo's network RTK reaches your address, you can mow without that station instead.
The Data Center is an outdoor antenna that Yarbo says should be mounted high up and connected to your router by cable. It also carries Yarbo's HaLow long-range Wi-Fi link to the machine. Pick a spot with a clear view of the sky, away from tall trees and walls, because RTK accuracy suffers when the antenna or the mower can't see enough satellites.
Since August 2026 Yarbo has offered network RTK free for the life of the machine, but only where it has coverage. The app checks this address by address, and we couldn't confirm what UK coverage looks like. Yarbo also says the local station and network RTK can't run at the same time, and switching from one to the other means recalibrating your map, so decide early which you'll use.

How much does the Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro cost in the UK?
We couldn't confirm UK prices. Yarbo's UK store blocked our automated checks, and Yarbo's other stores list it in euros and dollars. Expect it to cost several times as much as a typical robot mower.
What is the Yarbo core?
The Y40 core is the tracked base unit holding the battery, drive and navigation. Modules clip on for different jobs: the Pro mower, the standard mower, a snow blower, a blower and a trimmer.
Does it need an RTK base station?
Each Y40 bundle includes Yarbo's Data Center, an RTK base with an outdoor antenna that's wired to your router and mounted high up. Since August 2026 Yarbo has offered free network RTK where coverage exists, which can replace the base. Check coverage for your address in the app.
Is there a subscription?
Not to mow. Yarbo includes 12 months of 4G service; after that it's paid, but mowing, mapping and scheduling keep working over Wi-Fi or Yarbo's HaLow link. You'd lose remote access away from home, live view over cellular and GPS theft tracking.
