How it navigates and sets up
The Indego XS 300 works inside a perimeter wire, with a docking station, wire, pegs and connector supplied. Its selling point was LogiCut: rather than bouncing around at random, it mows the lawn in parallel lines and remembers where it has been. It can handle up to 3 separate lawn areas within its rated 300 m², and passages down to 75 cm between wires. Slopes are limited to 27%.

Cutting
Three pivoting blades cut a 190 mm strip, with height from 30 mm to 50 mm. Bosch's manual gives a measured sound power of 61 dB(A) (63 dB(A) guaranteed), which is on the loud side for a small wired mower. Each charge gives about 45 minutes of mowing.
App, connectivity and security
The XS has no app or mobile connection. Everything is set on the mower. It does have a four-digit PIN auto-lock and an alarm in its security menu. For more on protecting a mower, see our security guide.
Running costs, warranty and support
Bosch's standard guarantee is 2 years, or three years with MyBosch registration within four weeks, on new tools. Check with the seller that any unit you buy is new and covered. Bosch still sells docks, wire and wire repair kits, but no longer hosts Indego manuals on its UK site.
Should you still buy one?
Only at a clear discount, or second-hand in good order. The mower itself is sound and the systematic mowing is a real plus on a small lawn, but you're buying into a range Bosch has quietly dropped, with no statement on parts beyond the dock and wire. If you'd rather have a current wired mower with full support, look at the GARDENA SILENO minimo or Husqvarna Automower 305. The Bosch Bosch VISIMOW18V is not a like-for-like replacement: it has no dock or wire and suits smaller lawns.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Bosch Indego XS discontinued?
Yes, in practice. Bosch's UK robot mower range now lists only the VISIMOW, and every Indego product page returns an error. Bosch hasn't published a statement or named a successor.
Is the Bosch VISIMOW a replacement for the Indego XS?
No. The VISIMOW has no wire, no dock and no app, is rated for 100 or 200 m², and you start it and swap its battery by hand. It suits a different buyer.
Can I still get parts for an Indego?
Bosch UK still sells an extra docking station, perimeter wire and a wire repair kit for the Indego range. Other parts may be harder to find.
Does the Indego XS have an app?
No. The XS is set up and controlled from its own keypad and display. The connected Indego models were the S+ and M+.
