Which version do you need?
The HRM 310 is rated for 1,500 m², the HRM 520 for 3,000 m² with a double-size battery, and the HRM 3000 for 4,000 m² with a 25 cm cut, electric height adjustment and IPX5. The 310 and 520 share a 22 cm cut and 45% slope rating; the 3000 manages 47%. A connected HRM 3000 Live also existed but isn't covered here. Choose by lawn size with headroom, as you would for a new mower.
How it navigates and sets up
These are wire-guided mowers. Each works inside a boundary wire with a charging station; the wire kit was sold separately. Honda Germany rates slopes at 45%–47%, which is strong for a wired mower. If you're replacing an old Miimo, the existing wire may be reusable; a Honda dealer can check the loop.
Cutting
Three swing-back blades cut 220 mm–250 mm depending on model, with height from 20 mm to 60 mm. The 310 and 520 are adjusted by hand; the 3000 has electric adjustment. Honda Germany gives guaranteed noise of 59 dB(A)–62 dB(A). Budget for new blades on any used mower; see our blade guide.
App, connectivity and security
The base models covered here have no mobile connection or app listed on Honda's spec pages. Settings are made on the mower. Honda says all Miimos sound an alarm when lifted, but check the seller has removed their security code before you pay.
Running costs, warranty and support
Honda's current domestic warranty is five years, but it depends on dealer registration and servicing to schedule, and these models are no longer sold new. Batteries are the main cost risk on a used unit; ask how long it runs per charge. Honda's contact centre is on 0345 200 8000, and dealers can advise on parts.
Should you still buy one?
Only second-hand, at a price that leaves room for a new battery and blades, and ideally with a dealer service history. They were well-specified wired mowers, especially on slopes, but you get no warranty, no app and specs sourced from Honda Germany. If you want Honda's backing, buy from the current Honda Miimo HRM 1000 to 4000 range, or the wire-free Honda Miimo 1500i and 2200i if you'd rather lose the wire.

Are the Honda Miimo HRM 310, 520 and 3000 discontinued?
Yes. They're not on Honda UK's product pages or its July 2026 price list. Their manuals are still in Honda's owner's manual index.
What replaced them?
Honda doesn't name direct successors. By size, the closest current models are the HRM 1500 for the 310, the HRM 2500 for the 520 and the HRM 4000 Live for the 3000, all in the Miimo HRM 1000 to 4000 range.
Will a used Miimo still have warranty?
Probably not in a way you can rely on. Honda's five-year warranty depends on dealer registration and servicing to schedule. Ask the seller for the service record and check with a Honda dealer.
